The other angle is: I'm only going to do this once, so I'd rather waste the time than spend $20+ dollars for it. I could easily create a 'macro' function in Excel or develop a small program to do the job, or ask a geeky friend to write that program in an evening for a six-pack of beer. While I agree that there's nothing bad in asking for this sum, from the user's standpoint there can only be too angles: If I'm to perform these conversions frequently, then It's $19.99 to be exact, not counting taxes.

Sometimes you don't just want to transfer contacts, but actually see them in a list.
VCF files can hold information on more than one contact, and here's where Sobolsoft's service comes in. It is usually used for transferring contacts from one device to another or via email. VCF is a text file that stores contact information in a specific way. However, some might not know what VCF is. I'm confident that anybody who's at least computer literate knows what Excel is. VCF to Excel Converter does just one thing, and you can pretty much guess what that is. Well, as it turned out, it wasn't exactly this app, but another one of Sobolsoft's One-Feature-Full-Price applications. From the moment I saw the "Buy Personal License" window, I had a strong feeling that I've seen this app before.
